Dear Hester and Thorne Residents, Families, and Friends,
Good news! All tests returned earlier this week were negative, which marked two weeks of no new positive tests. We are now able to offer indoor visitation for Hester and Thorne residents! Visitation is by appointment only and occurs in a designated area. Please do not schedule a visit if you have any symptoms of illness. All infection control practices must be followed during the visit, which include screening before the visit, hand-sanitizing, social distancing, and wearing a mask. Food and drink are not allowed in the visitation area, but food can be brought for a resident and left with staff. The entrance for the visitation area is at the Wesley Towers Chapel and not Hester or Thorne front doors. Please call 620-727-7169 to schedule your visit and with any questions! To reiterate current state and federal regulations, any positive tests among residents or staff, even one, takes us back to restricting visitation once again. With the vaccines in place and county numbers down, we may be seeing the end of this nightmare in the not-so-distant future. Please continue to follow good practices when out in public because we’re just not quite done with this pandemic yet.
